Artwork & Design Information
Artwork Guidelines
Our art department can create artwork based on your ideas or sketches, or you can also submit your own designs for us to produce.

When submitting hand-drawn art, please make it black and white outlines only (no fills, gradients or shading). We will accept a color copy for reference, but the important piece is the black and white version. We can accept artwork created by a variety of artwork programs and in several image file formats.

You may submit logos of schools, businesses or other organizations to us for use in your order. Most of these organizations have a Marketing Department that can provide us with their logo in the formats described below. If your school requires us to become a licensee when creating goods for internal use, please contacts, however in many instances know this process can take weeks, during which we cannot work on your job.

Accepted File Types:

Windows preferred, although in many cases we can open files created on Mac machines.

Adobe Illustrator -
All text must be converted to outlines to prevent the need for us to have your exact font. Images of photos or drawings placed into and AI file may not be usable. EPS files created in Illustrator will work in most cases.

CorelDraw -
All Type or Text must first be converted to outlines. The file must be saved as ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR FILE type, which is an option when you hit save, in a pulldown menu in the dialog window box.

Adobe Photoshop -
Black and white outlines. Image size should be 4"x4" for small designs and 10"x10" for large designs. Resolution should be 300 dpi. Image type should be BMP(Bitmap), JPG or TIF.

PDF's -
PDFs are great IF they contain the vector graphic data originally created in Illustrator or Corel.

JPG'S, PNG'S and GIF'S are web page image formats. It is not possible for anyone to reproduce these web based images exactly. On a computer monitor these images appear crisp and clean, however, when they are enlarged for printing the end result is a bumpy, dotted and pixelated image. Our art staff can use these images as reference for re-drawing.

Microsoft Publisher, Word, PowerPoint.
We do NOT use Microsoft Publisher or Paint files. Some people use PowerPoint or Word to mock-up their artwork. Many times this gets jumbled when we open it, so this is not a preferred method of submitting art.

*All in-house created designs will become the property of Elevation Lacrosse for use on Elevation produced goods and will not be provided in any format to the customer. We reserve the right to display artwork of completed orders or spec art online and in print for the purposes of advertising.
